Let’s Explore Solo: A WebQuest to Improve Students’ HOTS
INTRODUCTION
You are working for the International Office of Universitas Sebelas Maret. The University is preparing for an international conference, for which you are assigned as an LO for a delegate of three guests from the New York. The conference is scheduled for May 2-3.
TASK
The committee received an email below from your guest:
Dear Committee,
Good morning!
It’s a great opportunity to take part in your coming conference. I’m now writing to let you know our trip plan. Our delegate of three participants will be arriving in Solo (SOC) on May 1, with GA 224, ETA 1:30pm, but have made no hotel reservation. We would be very grateful if you could recommend three choices of hotel. We plan to leave from Solo on Sunday (May 5) so that we can spend some time to explore Solo after the conference. For this, we probably need a companion during our trip. We would espcecially like to visit Sangiran Early Man Museum and some cultural heritages in Solo. For sure, it would be great also to taste some specialty cuisine from Solo. I have search the internet, but mostly are available in Bahasa Indonesia. ☺
Your help and advices will be highly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing your feedback. You could send us an email. Alternatively, it would be great to toak over Google Hangout so that you can show me some pictures of Solo through the screenshare tool. Thank you very much.
Best,
James
